Even though the humid weather has started to kick in here on the Gold Coast, we are still pulling loads of food from our heirloom garden in December.
Roughly from left to right, we have Onion Barletta, Chard Verde di Taglio, Lettuce Regina di Maggio, Zucchini Stripped of Italy, Cherry Tomatoes, Eggplant Violetta Lunga, Okra, Chilli Cayenne, Eggplant Prosperosa, Eggplant Black Beauty. Tom and I are the head gardeners standing proudly behind our bounty!
I was particluarly surprised to find this massive Eggplant Black Beauty on the bush
Then, our Heirloom Pumkin Marina di Chioggia is growing great guns and does not have a skeric of mildew on it! Goes to show how picking an heirloom from a humid area can really help us in humid times.
