We have been busy filling our S.E.QLD. Franchi seed test garden with a whole new batch of seeds. Do it now while it's still warm, March and April are the best times to plant so many things here. Today we direct sowed into the garden - green sprouting broccoli, cauliflowers, chicory, turnips, lettuce, brown onions and cabbages. Last week we put in some new large fruited tomatoes to take advantage of the perfect time of year to grow them on the Gold Coast. Growing tomatoes in the autumn/winter is warm enough on the Gold Cast and avoids most friut fly and fungal spot problems
